Since the XBox does not have PCI or USB2.0 ports, it cannot have a tuner directly attached, not to mention it only has 64MB of RAM. Therefore, it can't run the backend. However, it should run the frontend fine.

Now..if XBMC had a torrent app with it as well..that woudl be nice..wouldnt have to leave a PC on..just leave the XBOX on and have it do all the work...

XBMC tutorial:Ftp over xbmc folder into apps folderModify the ini of your dash to link to location of xbmc xbeTweak the xbmc xml file through ftp or the web interface to modify bookmarks as you see fit.Installing xbmc is a lot easier than it is to install MythTV. If you can ftp a folder, you can use xbmc.

Well since the Xbox is not capable of running the backend, I am only assume that it functions just like the PC frontend. I have a frontend running on the mythbox itself and my iBook and it works flawlessly

But as they have said above, XBMC can't connect to a remote backend and view live TV and schedule recordings. That's the advantage of MythTV. If you don't plan on doing that, then MythTV is useless to you
