blog.guykawasaki.com — I recently visited the worldwide headquarters of Threadless in Chicago and took a boatload of pictures. I’ve been to the offices of many startups, but few compare to Threadless’s offices in coolness.

SkinnyCorp do some kickass stuff. I don't think they should be called a startup anymore, they've been around for years and are a bonafide business, not some garage dwelling guys eating ramen noodles testing a new/revamped idea.YayHooray (one of their other sites - http://yayhooray.com/ ) is also cool.

Too bad their shirts are really...really..awful. Cool design, terrible quality.

Ah... Now I know why it takes them 2 weeks to ship a t-shirt.

Actually, they don't design the shirts. People put in submissions, and then vote on which ones to make. I gotta say, a lot of them are crap, but every few weeks one comes out thats pretty brilliant.Ok, I admit, I own like 7 of their shirts.

Last December, I emailed Threadless to see if I could simply come pick up a shirt at their office, since I live in Chicago. Surprisingly, I received a quick reply saying that I could. Those offices are great, and the staff is really friendly. I recommend it for anyone living in the Chicagoland area.

Yeah I know what you mean! Just do what I do! Take your cane and just beat those pesky young whipper snappers! This isn't a real office! Back in my day we used to have to walk 9 miles uphill in the snow, BOTH WAYS!

Actually they are very profitable... no need for these 'investors' you speak of.
