torrentfreak.com — Everyone knows that a significant number of file-sharers are teenagers and young adults and they get their share of press. But what about the true kids - the under 10's ? TorrentFreak makes itself feel old trying to keep up with the agile mind of a 9 year old file-sharer.

A band doesn't deserve money if they don't come to you? Perhaps they can't afford to get to you because people like you don't support them. My favorite band hasn't been to my area in nearly 8 years, you can be sure that I still support them.

try to approach the problem from another angle.. How do you suppose the artist/record label solves the problem of ensuring no one does copy and distribute his music? By paying the lawyers to make it illegal, get the TAX payers to pay to enforce the law, because the artist/record label knows it simply isn't realistic to properly protect the music without ruining your chance of people hearing it. So they don't protect the music properly, so the music is easy to copy, so the music is copied, so the artist/record label gets angry, so the law tries to enforce a law which can't be enforced because its too expensive to realistically enforce, so more money is dumped down the drain into more lawers pockets all to protect music from being copied when its always been copied, and actually crap music still gets made... sound logic, totally sound.

@ AdoogaI'm replying because I was interested in your comment. Yes, I have no problem with people getting caught/sued/fined, just like I have no problem with people illegally downloading music. And before someone attacks me with the entire "what if I shot your brother" thing: That affects me personally, so naturally, I would want to exact revenge, or get the law to find justice. Regardless, the price the murderer would pay would be the punishment he would face decided in a court of law, or, if I'm overcome by vengeance, bodily damage by my hands/weapon in my hands. In the case of the latter, I would have to be tried as a criminal. That is the price I pay to exact revenge. Yes, it's impersonal philosophy, but again, it's economics. I have no problem with it.
