Do worry, be wary : the 10th of februaryThe banner and verbal gun shotsI know of no reason why religious freedomshould ever be forgotAnon, anon, t'was their intentTo expose scientology and fraudulentL Ronald Hubbard, to overthrowthe structure in this final show.
The Time article is old but at the time it was a HUGE event. A national (and then respected) news magazine spent several pages laying the wood to a cult. Sci-bots were scrambling for damage control back then...they had run up on an entity they couldn't bribe or sue into submission.
I understand there is a diversity of practice that falls under the umbrella of "Christianity". I wasn't attempting to "bash" anyone- this country, wisely, has protection for individual religious belief. It is important to note, however, that the "message" of the gospel that is attributed to the teachings of Jesus has nothing to do with any of that spooky stuff that is a step back toward the primitive days of human sacrifice. It was of love and tolerance. People forget that Jesus was not a Christian. He wasn't your typical Jew, either- he took issue with established religion. This is, of course, according to the New Testament. Humanity took a leap forward from the cult religions of old in the story of God telling Abraham he did not expect him to sacrifice his son. Why would this same God take a step backward and sacrifice his own son? Just trying to question, not bash. I apologize if my post above was disrespectful. It is not inaccurate, however- at least throughout the history of Christianity, and as it remains in most of Catholicism. Catholicism, though, accepts Darwin's theory of evolution. At least they have that going for them. "All paths to the source are valid." Mohandas Gandhi
So, you're saying that only people born 1996 and later use the word 'gay' to mean lame? Man, I better go tell the 80s to shape up before pc revisionist pieces of s**t start popping up.
Just because there's a war on terror doesn't mean you need to be vigilant everyday... by this stage I'm going to hate "paranoid" Americans as much as I hate the bastards who attack(ed) them.ya see wot i did there?...

Hahaha you know you're screwed when one of the nation's most recognized publications calls you a cult and a pyramid scheme.

Good for Smith. He always seemed like a good guy and this more than makes up for Independence Day. ;-)
