fsdaily.com — InformationWeek's article on the GPLv3 is misrepresenting, or simply wrong. The title should have been "LIinus calls GPLv3 'a fine choice'" would have been a more appropriate article. See where the article came from, and how InformationWeek managed to twist the facts to create a scoop.

Wow even tech news is fabricated these days?

Holy s**t. Fanboyist article accuses fair source of IT news of being biased! No seriously, this only confirms what IW said. "I think the GPLv3 is overreaching."... well, yeah. What's misleading about what IW wrote up about that quote and the rest of the f**king email?

Seriously, IW is the worst company I've run into. I had the bad experience of giving them my email and home address. I got so much s**t from them and no matter how many times I tried to cancel it, it kept coming. I got the emails to mostly stop when I sent an email to them an CC'd the FTC's spam address. I still get their mail.. I don't know to stop it. It just goes directly into the trash.Nothing they produce is useful content. It's all rehashed from a better source, and it's purely marketing. Their company is a entire sham.

Summary says 'The title should have been "LIinus calls GPLv3 'a fine choice'" 'At the least the summary itself misleading. I didn't bury this digg item, but I wouldn't blame people for doing so, as the summary (and therefore posting) is trying to deceive, just in a different direction.

Just another desperate old school print magazine who was forced to go online...and now realizes they have to hype and exaggerate all their stories to get advertising clicks. And they know, at least online, that negative Linux and Apple stories both are good for lots of clicks :p
