rawstory.com — Shouts of "terrorist" and even accusations of "treason" aimed at Barack Obama have echoed around Republican rallies, whipped up into alarming, hate-filled frenzies against the Democratic White House hopeful. One banner in the crowd declared: "Go ahead, let the dogs out."

DiggNazi2:Really? I mean really?! Let's reduce the scope down to one issue. The Supreme Court. McCain supported justices like Robert Bork. Obama of course had no say in Bork's nomination but did oppose Bush's recent appointees. Bork was a vastly more conservative candidate than say, Alito, so I think we can make the assumption that Obama would have opposed Bork as well. In no world can one credibly argue that the nomination of Robert Bork would not have had major effects on US law. Certainly we may well have had Roe v Wade challenged and overturned, different decisions on the Texas sodomy law/right to privacy case, any and all first amendment cases, fourth amendment cases, etc. Once again, you group wildly diverse opinion and policy into "business as usual" in order to force a false dichotomy between your position and the "other". It's perfectly fair to not like policy put forth by either candidate, but to deny that there is any distinction between them is foolish.

They did the same thing with the protestors against the Iraqi war. Calling people that opposed the war traitors.

mogebier: First of all, the Democrats aren't "my party". Second, the claim was that the GOP has never supported racist policies, which is obviously a lie.

Instead of pity why don't you offer facts that support your stand. Unlike those in the liberal arena I base my views on facts not the sinking sand foundation of emotion. So if you have some facts to offer then present them instead of wasting your time and mine offering worthless pity. Much like the policies of the democrats based on the emotions of their sheep, your efforts here are wasted because you offer nothing but an intangible reply that attempts to belittle and discard instead of engaging in a debate that might bring growth to all involved. So now it's my turn: you can go back to your Obama alter before you learn something that might make you an educated, involved and engaged American citizen.
