To me this series epitomizes the magic of seeing movies as a kid in the 80's, to be honest I'm a little leary to see if it can hold up tothe onslaught of blockbusters in the last 20 years but I'll go for sure, popcorn and Pepsi in hand :)

Yes and no. He never actually wrote a script. When he was asked by Lucas and Spielberg to do the project, he bought a notebook to keep ideas in. That's about as far as he got. He had some ideas, and possibly a basic story outline - but decided to let someone else take over the massive responsibility of making a Indiana Jones sequel that doesn't suck.
