The Dock shipped as part of Mac OS in 2001. If you trace it back to it's ancestor, the Dock in NextStep, then it predates the Windows Taskbar. Microsoft copied the dock in what year now?The Quartz window compositing system shipped as part of Mac OS in 2001. Microsoft copied Quartz as Aero in what year now?Expose shipped as part of Mac OS in 2003. Microsoft added expose like features in what year now?Windows still doesn't have a decent version of virtual desktops like Spaces and Windows 7 is not adding one.Why do people bring up Shadow Copy as a Windows feature when only the most expensive versions of Windows include it. Yet somehow when they discuss pricing they never mention the price of any version of Windows except the least expensive one where Shadow Copy is not included?
My point wasn't to make MS seem better or more innovative, just to cut through some of the fanboy bulls**t. It seems like all of you think that MS is the only one who copies anything ever.
Actually, the 29 dollar Snow Leopard upgrade disk will upgrade Tiger or Leopard. It will also preform a clean install of the OS. It has no serial number. It has no activation process. NONE of it's features are intentionally disabled so Apple can force you to buy a more expensive version. You conveniently fail to mention that Windows 7 Home Premium does not have any sort of backup equivalent to Time Machine. It is intentionally disabled. You have to buy Windows 7 Ultimate to get *all* the Windows features including Shadow Copy. Windows 7 Ultimate costs $219. Over thirteen times as much!Windows a better value? No.
I did not say that it didnt. You will note that I clearly state I skipped Vista. Mainly because I could see where it was going and that was straight down the drain. Not because it was bad but because people were told it was bad and from there on out it was a really bad game of chinese whispers for microsoft.

Because the Leopard wallpaper was very unique and beautiful at the same time. I was interested in seeing what apple had in store for this OS.
