NBC has a very American, rather than International, perspective on the Olympics. Events where no americans are competing or are competing, but have no chance in hell for a medal, are not even broadcast on TV. The online feature was ok, but even online, US only in the focal point. I for one like to see more than just the 3 Medal contenders, I like to see all 30 competitors of any event. NBC has frickin' 5 channels on our Comcast line up and they don't use them as much as they can. Other countries are much more internationally focused at the Olympics. Germany for example has 2 stations covering the Olympics. They alternate daily and cover 21h per day on TV. Yes that's almost no other program on that channel on that day. The other 3 hours are spent for sports unrelated news spread out during the day. That's what I call commitment. And by the way, Online coverage is nice, but who want's to sit in his office chair staring into a computer screen instead of enjoying yourself sitting it on the couch watching TV. And in order to be able to watch the Olympics online they forced you to install that Microsoft crap Silverlight, instead of using industry standards. Greedy bastards at NBC, paid off by MS.

Am I the only one here tired of hearing about Michael Phelps... He's just a great athlete, not the f***in second coming of Christ.

so are they "factoids" because they are "estimated" or "rumored" rather than real numbers?.
