JavaScript version would be more usefull than the PHP version, as you could do live calculations (like if there is a mouse hover replacement image), movement, effects, etc.
No Digg. Until the code works seamlessly in IE too, this is useless. I am designer and as much as I like "Live Bookmarks" I design for IE, not Firefox.
stuff like this is great as it makes more professional graphic styles available outside of Flash. Flash is great, but is still proprietary. Nothing cool ever works in IE, which is why serious designers make web sites that degrade gracefully and are optimized for any browser.Drive people to start using FF and newer browsers in general, but have a site that degrades nicely. There is no need to hate on browsers.
For people who think that this could easily be done in photoshop, your right. But as the coder pointed out, if your going to use it as it was designed - dynamically - it's going to save you a hell of a lot of time.
"i have IE6 and FF1.0.7this doesn't support IE or FF"Ugh would people RTFA for once? It says Firefox 1.5, which supports canvas script. IE6 doesn't and never will have anything cool like that, and it just came out in FF 1.5. Can people RTFA please?

This effect shows a distinct similarity to the effect Apple uses in iChat. Surprising it is not supported in Safari.
