How can i keep my computer downloading stuff if I turn it off? I can't even put it in sleep mode.Anyway, I try to keep light-bulbs and TV off as much as possible
@ doubtfulsalmon"Message? It's an anti-message, by bunch of wack-jobs that believe the "global warming" propaganda."Those are ads for EDF - Electricité De France, obviously an energy provider... Maybe aren't Humans the reason of "global warming", anyway, lowering pollution is always a good thing. Ask your wife.
Hmmm, how many trees did they just kill by running the Print Ads?Seems they could come up with a way to capture all that heat generated by the African/Islamic gangs torching 80,000 cars around Paris! If they don't do something about the anti-semitic hatred running rampant in France, they could soon replace the nuclear reactors with new crematoriums... (sarcasm, albeit sick sarcasm) The number of Jews fleeing France for Israel and the USA is huge and it's being covered up by the mainstream media. Their homes are being vandalized, Jews are being threatened and beaten on the streets, many are leaving each month.Seriously, don't really care about the environment, there are much bigger things to worry about like the survival of western civilization!
Also, the manufacture of solar panels is horribly environmentally unfriendly. Not only do you have to burn oil to provide the energy, but the chemicals and processes involved eject even worse pollutants into the environment.
Don't any of you people drive around a city at night?Haven't any of you thought, as you drive down every street, that each one of these street lamps is burning 1000 watts an hour? Has anyone ever asked that that sort of question, why aren't people concerned with that grossly negligent waste of all this precious energy? No, instead, I'm asked to turn my computer off to save power. Well wake up people, there's plenty of good reasons to turn your computers off. But saving power /isn't/ one of them.
