Dugg down for inaccurate description. Saying Apple doesn't make the iPod is like saying Ford doesn't make the Explorer. Every single part in the Explorer comes from some third-party manufacturer. Some of them are made specifically for Ford (like Delco used to make stuff for GM). Other parts are just off the shelf parts that Ford buys. That's the way manufacturing works. Even an old lady who knits has to buy her yarn somewhere.

Some previous post referred to China, but they don't have iPhone themselves though many want one like crazy. Check out "China view US" blog www.chinaviewus.com for what they talk about iPhone... So how do that play out ...
