garyshood.com — There were two groups of people. One understood Kerry's Bush joke. The other group was a bunch of morons and actually thought he hated the troops. So it makes perfect sense that every member of the press, every representative in Washington D.C., and George Bush himself interpreted it as John Kerry hates the troops.

It is not about what he meant to say, it's about what he DID say. If the excuse "Well, what I really meant was..." was more widely accepted then no one would ever do anything wrong.

I don't have a blog but I was going to create one just so I could make a post that would closely resemble this one. I agree that if you didn't understand the joke, you must have a learning disability. It is true that the media started all this by manipulating the video showing only one section of Kerry's speech distorting what Kerry was saying. But since then many people have seen the full video and STILL believe Kerry was insulting the troops. Those people are the most intellectually and mentally disabled people in the world. They should wear yellow helmets when they walk around.I am not American, I'm Australian. Due to political world climate, decisions made by Americans regarding things I care about such as Internet Neutrality, Digital rights management, abortion, the war etc soon affect Australia. Your intellectually challenged (most digg users excluded from that label) county is starting to f**k my good country up. Would you please try and make a difference to politics in your country before its too late. Don't buy into bulls**t.
