iftheworldcouldvote.com— What would happen if the world could vote a for the U.S President. After all he is the most powerful man on earth, and his actions influence the whole world!

Nonsense. If the neo-conservatives and the plutocrats have their way (which is what many elected officials ARE in the GOP anymore) we will not have any national borders. Recall we do not vote for the GATT folks who make sovereign decisions that impact us every day-- and that is not an idea that emanates from the Democratic Party.Once upon a time I was a Republican, but that was before the Republican party turned itself into the party of ideological rigidity, permanent campaigning, incompetent nation-building and fiscal irresponsibility.
I notice, however, that there is only one vote per computer, which is good. BUT that means that, in poorer households and poorer countries, there will be fewer votes. If a family has one computer for four people, they have one vote. In a household with at least one computer for most family members (as so often seen in the U.S.), each person will be able to vote at least once. In other words, wealthier people and those who over-consume electronics will be able to cast more votes than those who have different priorities in terms of resources. Also, many countries do not have a very high level of internet access and people depend on Internet cafes for web browsing. So that also limits the number of votes that can be cast from these countries. And, of course, vast numbers of people on this earth do not have any computer access at all. I expect, if there is any bias being represented, it is a pro-McCain bias or at the least a pro-Western bias.
If Obama wins which I think he will, the USA will regain its popularity andthis great nation will start moving to the right direction once again, the economy will recover, and people will be confident again and the Stock Market will be on its wayto recovery. And of course the world will be peaceful as the USA will lead in peace.
If I could vote I would vote for someone who would get rid of the federal reserve (who's policy of creating money out of thin air is one of the major causes for the current world economic crisis), and who would not have anyone of the trilateral comission or the council of foreign relations in his cabinet. That alone dismisses both Obama and McCain, so it would be a 3rd party candidate for me.

Obama/Palin 08I resent your comment. People can disagree without getting nasty. Very small minded of you...maybe you drink too much scotch.

And the reason why Macedonia is pro-McCain is because McCain supported them for being part of NATO. Supports them for being called Macedonia, their national identity and their territorial integrity. Macedonia has some disputes about this with Greece (and Bulgaria, I believe). You can read it here: http://the-macedonian-tendency.blogspot.com/2008/0 ...
