adamsweb.us — This didn't take long. Moments after the national media gets word that the Republican Senator from Idaho pleaded guilty to lewd conduct in a Minneapolis Airport restroom, one conservative blogger is already calling for him to resign. Doesn't seem that loyalty that conservatives have for the Republican Party is very strong.

"Doesn't seem that loyalty that conservatives have for the Republican Party is very strong"What a dumb statement. It could only come from the party of no accountability. When the Dems are mired in scandal they are promoted and re-elected. Teddy Kennedy, his out of control son Patrick, Barney Frank (boyfriend running a prostitution ring out their townhouse), Wm Jefferson, John Murtha, on and on. Republicans hold their own accountable, usually calling for resignation. That's what I call loyalty to the party. Try it sometime.

Wikipedia:"In 1990, the House voted to reprimand Frank when it was revealed that Steve Gobie, a male escort whom Frank had befriended after hiring him through a personal advertisement, claimed to have conducted an escort service from Frank's apartment when he was not at home. Frank had dismissed Gobie earlier that year and reported the incident to the House Ethics Committee after learning of Gobie's activities. After an investigation, the House Ethics Committee found no evidence that Frank had known of or been involved in the alleged illegal activity.[1] Gobie disputes Frank's account. The New York Times reported on July 20, 1990 that The House Ethics Committee recommended "that Representative Barney Frank receive a formal reprimand from the House for his relationship with a male prostitute."[2] Attempts to expel or censure Frank FAILED; instead the House voted 408-18 to reprimand him""According to a letter sent by Officer Greg Baird, acting chairman of the USCP FOP, the wreck took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday when Kennedy's car, operating with its running lights turned off, narrowly missed colliding with a Capitol Police cruiser and smashed into a security barricade at First and C streets Southeast."The driver exited the vehicle and he was observed to be staggering," Baird's letter states. Officers approached the driver, who "declared to them he was a Congressman and was late to a vote. The House had adjourned nearly three hours before this incident. It was Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island." ""This was Rep. Patrick Kennedy's year," Rachel Zoll of the Associated Press writes of the 33-year-old Rhode Island Democrat."He admitted he took antidepressants. An airport security guard claimed he shoved her in a scuffle. (there is video tape of the assault,mb26) A charter company accused him of causing $28,000 in damage to a yacht."More bad news came this week, writes Miss Zoll, "when it surfaced that the Coast Guard in July sent a rescue boat to take Kennedy's distraught date off his chartered yacht." "You're BS's me about this one."Mary Jo Kopechne was killed in the auto accident that almost ended Edward Kennedy's political career. Kopechne was a former campaign worker for Kennedy's brother, Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan during the 1968 presidential campaign. On 18 July 1969, Kopechne attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island, a short ferry ride off the island of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. Edward Kennedy and Kopechne left the party together; a short time later, their car plunged off the Dike Bridge into a pond, where it overturned. Kopechne died in the car. Kennedy swam ashore but didn't report the accident until the next morning,"
