designreviver.com — Following our free social icon giveaway, as promised, here is a tutorial explaining how they were made in Adobe Illustrator. We?ll try to cover the basics and give you an idea how things are rendered, how they appear in smaller sizes and the constraints we can find when using Vector (Illustrator) instead of Pixel (Photoshop) based image software.

Very nicely laid out tutorial this, kudos.Icon design is a vital skill for any designer, it's a great to be able to redesign default icons, both for desktop and website usage. A good icon set can really make a website pop.

Yes, I haven't used Illustrator much, and at step 5 I'm pretty well lost.I'm guessing this is a tutorial meant for people with more experience than me!Oh well. I'll go out and find more basic tutorials and come back to it.

Anyone else find it ironic that they have a tutorial on icon design, yet don't have a URL icon? I didn't notice till I bookmarked it, but still..Okay, probably alone on the "I give a s**t factor."

Very nice tutorial. In my opinion, everyone ought to have their icon, especially Polish girls: http://www.sexypolishgirls.com
