theonion.com — Everybody has this image of "crazy Christians" based on what they hear in the media, but it's just not true. I'm here to tell you there are lots of Christians who aren't anything like the preconceived notions you may have. We're not all into "turning the other cheek." We don't spend our days committing random acts of kindness for no credit.

I'm up for that.I'm not saying God should do it for you, its not like He owes you (or any of us) any favours. Why should he provide any more evidence of his existance when we already have the Bible and the world around us as evidence already? Also, theres that whole "do not test the Lord your God" thing...but I'll let God decide. And while we're at it, why 10? Lets say 20 times in a row. My God doesn't do "chance"1 Kings 18:30-39...

I personally found the comments on this article more interesting than the article itself. I'm an 18 yr old Catholic, (the very worst of them all, right!) But I have a few points I would like to make. First of all, its easy to stereotype anyone. In fact, who isn't stereotyped, yet how many are actually accurate? Its so easy to point fingers. Now let me say, even while being Catholic, I am (and pride myself!) on being very openminded. I believe in Creationism, but I believe 100% in evolution within a species. I believe God set existence in motion guided by laws of math, physics etc. I believe homosexuality is real, but I believe only scientifically, not by choice. I oppose it because of the scientific implications, but I don't often "go there" because its none of my business. I think many people (and the majority of people 'digging' judging by the negative diggs on literally every pro-Christian comment) need to understand that the Church is governed (for better for for worse) by humans. Humans are humans, easily corrupted. Please be careful not to judge Catholics who honor the fundamentals of their religion from the actions of others. It is neither fair nor reasonable. Trust me when I say I know both sides of most arguments AND I'm Catholic..just letting you all know we exist.

Read my post a little further down an just let me know what you think. I understand where you coming from. Don't get me wrong, I believe in a hell, but its 100% wrong for any person to condemn anyone to hell, and believe it or not the Church teaches that. Unfortunately as we have seem, very few (Christian/Catholic or otherwise) know their religion at all.

I am dumbfounded that people can find it somehow reasonable to believe in creation (it had to happen at some point..) without creationism. It just doesn't make sense! I mean, it had to come from somewhere right? and just because it seems impossible to us, does that mean it is? or does that mean it seems impossible..

I'm not too sure what to think of it. On one hand it seems like an honest ranting from someone who believes in God but on the other hand, it seems very biased and stereotypical. Thats what I think anyway.
