huffingtonpost.com — I have reflected upon the regrettable irony that has emerged from Senator Obama's response to a friendly question: no good effort at intelligent analysis, candor -- and what I heard as an attempt to convey a profound understanding of both what people feel and why they feel it - goes unpunished.

You don't think large family farms, (the land, equipment, animals, current crops, seedlings, and farm buildings) would total less than 2mil and 3.5mil? I well aware of the exemptions, however, the original poster seems to think family farms are somehow skipped over as someone's estate when in reality that is clearly not the case.

@ brainpile3000: So are we talking about "large" family farms now? The Republican message always suggested that the tax was devastating Mom & Pop operations. Here's the reality: Abolishing the estate tax was always more about defending the interests of Paris Hilton than any farmer.

Well could you explain to me why any person should have to pay taxes when they die on stuff they've already paid taxes on?

The elite pessimism came from the O-man, not me. I spoke truth to power. And if you watched his pathetic performance in tonight's debate you would have to agree.

Why would I be eating crow. After living a virtuous life, he wrote books which sold very well. If you pick the right channels, it is not hard to come across this kind of money. Having 4 million dollars does not make you an elitist. Its really not that much money. Hes and his wife are sparkling examples of the American dream. They pulled themselves up from trenches and reached the top....and now they want to bring us all along. How is that elitist.
