To all the posts that say they have lost respect for Kevin because he first tried to take down the posts, and ban users, then only came around in the end to make things right, I say:Hey, can any of you say that you've NEVER made a decision, DID something that you later REGRETTED and wished you hadn't? (I know I can't). Changing your mind and admitting that you changed it publicly (and as Dr. Tiki pointed out, doing so in a way that puts your company and livelihood on the line) takes courage and Kevin definitely has shown that. Yes, what we did on May 1 could lead to the downfall of digg. So, let's put our money where our mouths are and really defend free speech if/when the time comes.Kevin: If the lawsuits do come (and I certainly hope they do not), know that my Paypal account is ready to help. Just let us know.

DIGG is a good idea in principle, but flawed in implementation. Some really lousy uninteresting stories and news make it to 1000's of diggs while some very original insightful content remains at just a few, or worse still buried. You've got to give Kevin his due though, he's made quite a business out of a good idea. Personally I think he should have disallowed the code. I hate to see a viable business go down because a bunch of pirates want free movies. You can chant freedom of speech all you want, in the end it's just that you don't want to spend the $25 to buy the movie, or are too lazy to rent it for $5. I'm not saying I'm completely innocent in these matters, but I'm not going to put somebody out of business over it...lighten up people!

The urge of being politically correct is becoming so high that, very soon there won't be a hero no more. What Kevin did is the job of a true leader, a hero who does not care for what will happen next, he just does what he thinks he should do, and it's that trait in a person that makes him a leader. It's is very unfortunate that the author of tikkibar post tried to hit out at the diggers, he does not understand the simple fact that the whole digg community looked at Kevin as their Hero, and they asked him to to stood up and fight, and Kevin truly lived up to the expectation of thousands of people, and he will be remembered for a long time to come, and this is called legacy, and it is much long lived than any business or establishment, and this one incident will go down in history of internet as the first true revolt and Kevin will be known as the leader for that, it's once in a lifetime event and real men has always stand upto it. Salute !!

Digg isn't the only place the key has been posted, and it won't ever be the place it originated, so digg can't be blamed for anything, even if HD-DVD is digg's sponsor. http://ty-keck.blogspot.com/

I agree with scotty on matter of copyright infringement....That doesn't sound like a DMCA take down notice. DMCA isn't about intellectual property, its about making a device et al to circumvent a copy protection method.hxxp//0online-insurance-quote.com
