washingtonpost.com— Memorial Day orators will say that a G.I.'s life is priceless. Don't believe it. I know what value the U.S. government assigns to a soldier's life: I've been handed the check.

You can't "surrender" when you invade, kill, and occupy. You can only leave. The Iraqis are not our enemies; we are theirs. The term you are looking for is not "surrender".It is "LOSE". As in "DO NOT WIN". You lose, you do not get to steal the oil, you lose the new Pentagon/Embassy, you lose Iraq and Iran, you lose, you lose, you lose. We aren't at war and we can't surrender to an enemy because there isn't one. What we have done is attempted to conquer, through lies, a nation as a stepping stone to conquering the Middle East (per the Project for the New American Century blueprint). We have failed, because we lied to our own people and the people of Iraq, and the world, and we've lost our authority. We lied to ourselves; witness the "surrender" meme. We failed because the neocons and the rightists of the U.S. don't understand politics. Don't know history. Don't understand the use of power. We failed because we were liars and corrupt and we were torturers and jailers of innocents. We were the Nazis invading Poland, and everyone knows it but us.

Another example of how the left "supports" the troops.

Even more to the point, you are either FOR or AGAINST increasing the power of government.I for one am against.

This administration is yet another manifestation of the inherent evil of government.
