the only reason the government won't legalize marijuana is because they cant make money off of it like cigarettes. anyone can grow it in their backyard and sell it. i don't understand why its illegal i haven't seen on the news a car accident caused by a guy under the influence of marijuana its always alcohol but the government allows the sale of that. wtf government quit trying to steal my buzz already

Benadryl is more dangerous to take before driving than pot.Multiple studies show pot does not degrade performance at complex tasks. But use your common sense: Musicians play stoned all the time. And they play very well.

"Its against the law. Its well known that its against the law. Until the law changes, people can expect to be held accountable for breaking it."I was not comparing smoking weed to the holocaust, I was pointing out that laws aren't always good because they are the law.

lol. Nobody is stopping you from growing barley, hops or tobacco. You can grow your own corn in your backyard or grow your own fruits and vegetables for food instead of buying them in the store. It isn't magic, it's just plants. Just like pot is a plant. You can grow any of them in your backyard.... Grow your own barley and hops and brew your own beer, grow your own tobacco. Grow your own food. If people can legally do that, so then why do grocery stores exist? Econ 101 is why. Just because you can grow pot in your backyard doesn't mean that everyone will be growing it and that it isn't economically viable. It takes time, effort, and some knowledge of botany to grow the primo dank nugs. Not everyone has a green thumb or wants to spend their time and money on the equipment and knowledge to grow their own tobacco or brew their own bear so people tend to buy tobacco and booze from a 3rd party who can do it cheaper. Simple economics. I can see the same principle being applied to pot. People don't want to spend the time and money learning to do it, so they buy it from a supplier, like a coffee shop.

@novagenesis "Drugs are illegal because some stuffy rich people want them to be."Just for fun, do some research and determine which political party controlled the legislative branch when the "stuffy rich people" made those in office bow and say, "Yes, my lord. A law making ________ illegal shall be crafted forthwith."Google a term such as *national drug control act* or something similar and work from there. You'll be amazed.
