tucksdenbighblog.blogspot.com — Tony Campolo is a well-known American pastor known for his liberal political and social attitudes. He has been a major proponent for progressive thought and reform in the evangelical community. This is an interesting story about his trip to Hawaii, which shows how Christians have somewhat lost their focus.

In Romans 1:18-32 (New Testament), Paul talks about the effects of sin and what mankind's rebellion from God resulted in. Among other things, "God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Personally, I think people should be free to live as they want, but that following Christ is the key to the best life possible. But that's what the New Testament has to say about homosexuality.

Obeying HIM. We are to respect our church leaders, however, filter that respect through the clear understanding of the fact that our church leaders are human, too, and therefore will screw up royally... just like we do. God uses messed up people to help other messed up people.

Haha, Zeitgeist is a funny movie.Horribly inaccurate though. My favorite is when they suggest that some ancient god was killed by crucifixion.....Several thousand years before crucifixion existed.

lemme wrap your psychosis up in a nutshellYour "loving", "almighty", "merciful", "caring", "forgiving" Bible-God is letting Billions of people go to Hell. Those are the adults and children who have not accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts as Lord and Savior. But rather worship other godsEach and every HOUR, roughly 9,500 people die. Thousands of those people go straight to hell. There, see how easy that was?

Well, I posted that comment mainly because bonjovisucks simply said you don't know what kinghami3's faith is, and you replied with things like, "You continually use the word "faith" as if it were an abbreviation, without mentioning that you really mean BLIND FAITH." How do you know bonjovisucks is even Christian? I guess there's a degree of probability considering his comment, but I still say arguments are stronger when you assume less. You also told kinghami3 that his "beliefs have been so 'generalized'" before kinghami3 even stated any of his beliefs. Even if he considers himself Christian, how do you know he follows a traditional Christian view? Why does believing in Jesus' teachings require blind adherence to the church's teachings? Thirdly, you also have a comment somewhere in which you tell someone they can't pick and choose parts of the Bible, that it's "all or nothing." I'm sure a lot of Christians would agree with that view, but I don't know why you wouldn't allow self-proclaimed Christians to break from that tradition. I would think you would consider questioning traditional interpretations of scripture or even the choices made by the Council of Nicaea on which scripture to sanction to be a step in the right direction. I don't know, it just seems to me like every time a comment poster strays from a strict, traditional Christian view, you argue that that's not real Christianity, and then you criticize your idea of real Christianity. And sure, your idea of real Christianity very well may be the predominant form of Christianity, but you shouldn't assume that these comment posters belong to that group.
