He is refering to the trap that they used. Even smiths character noticed their odd behavior right after he snached the female. He saw the male put himself in the sunlight and thought it was unusual. This isn't an unexpected ending, they were hinting at it the entire movie. The whole message and god's sign bit seems rushed and very last minute.
Did you ever think that they never went after him that badly for taking the other members of the pack? Did you even THINK about the movie? The woman he took in the movie was obviously the wife/lover/mate of the pack leader
Well if you wanna be technical they weren't vampires in the book either. Also, just because the book and movie differ alot doesn't excuse the fact that the ending didn't make sense.
they were on route 17 north in the alternate ending, which means that they were probably driving on the George Washington bridge in north manhattan. Makes no sense how that bridge survived, unless it's because it connects with New Jersey, which might be a funny way of looking at it lol.
What i don't understand is why does the diseased humans become superhuman but in real life If someone caught a deadly disease they would be frail and weak. I guess if the monsters were sickly and couldn't get out of bed they wouldn't be scary. A monster gumming thier victims to death while barely being able to stand would be more realistic.
