haaretz.com — In briefings senior [Israel Defense Forces] officers conducted for foreign diplomats, they admitted the shelling to which IDF forces in Jabalya were responding did not originate from the school. UNRWA is demanding an objective investigation into whether the school shelling constituted a violation of international humanitarian law

Ok, I can understand your anger, but you have to understand that there are a lot of Israelis who are very good people. In fact most of what we know about the atrocities going on was recorded and distributed by organisations like B'Tselem, Yesh Gvul, Gush Shalom, ICAHD and other groups. I would not want the same thing that is happening to Gaza now to happen to anyone.

You're rooting for the Palestinians?

No, you did not call anyone anti-semitic, that was more of a general complaint in my list o' s**tty things. The analogy you make about Canada: sure, we'd f**k some mounties up if they were tossing rockets into the US, even if they didn't kill civilians. Difference is, we aren't occupying and oppressing Canada, so they'd have no reason to do that unless they were masochistic. Now, if we were occupying Canada, not allowing them to control their water, airspace, ports and food supply, I'd think they were fully justified in lobbing a few stones and rockets over the border. If you reverse the situation and Canada were putting us under their thumb and treating us like diseased cattle, I'd be making the f**king bombs to lob into Canada. You can thank me later for defending you. You catch my drift here Aja? I actually think the Palestinians are human beings, just like Israelis and Americans and every other human being, that they deserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If you don't think so, I'd like to know why.I say that you are a complete bastard for suggesting that an entire region should be nuked. And I think that you should have the misfortune to be there if you promote such a view. After all, the Palestinians did not choose to be born in the West Bank or Gaza and some Israelis also did not choose to be there, it's all they know. Perhaps you need to read up on the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki before recommending more death and destruction.Hamas, they are indeed mostly dicks. Not to mention that their strategy sucks and make things even more dangerous for Palestinians. However, they also build schools and libraries for the dirt-poor, often starving Palestinians. They are also 100% behind the Palestinian people, without a doubt. So. What conditions do you think led up to the Palestinian people electing a "terrorist" group to be their leaders, when they knew it would put them in peril? Ever hear of preferring to die on your feet than live on your knees? They're f**king desperate. What would you do if you were Palestinian, you have no real country to call your own? Your house and farm was bulldozed and if you say s**t about it, you and your family will either be treated worse or killed. What the f**k man? And no, I have no pent-up anti-semitism. Not only do I count many Jews in my most-admired group, especially scientists such as Richard Feynman and Lise Meitner, my own grandfather was Jewish and he was a great guy. The only thing I will say is that I am really and truly dismayed by their treatment of the Palestinians given their history, it is so hypocritical. And I do hold them to a higher standard because they are our ally and they receive aid and weapons from us. I don't see anything wrong with that, but that is not to say that I don't condemn vicious attacks from Islamic extremists such as the ones who decapitated Daniel Perle. That's completely outrageous and unacceptable.Enough of my yapping, even I'm tired of hearing my own analysis.

I'm glad to see that the truth came out. That whole story about gunfire coming from a U.N. school was kinda shady...

The Guardian is hardly a reliable source. They have a long tradition of anti-israeli reporting, which they are keeping up very well in this condlict. If you are interested in numbers, why didn't you include suicide bombings, just rockets?here they are...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hamas_suicide ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Palestinian_I ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Al-Aqsa_Marty ...That's about 800 dead Israelis, of suicide attacks on buses, at restaurants, and practically anywhere

@mdepaul "More Palestinians were killed in one month by Jordan than by Israel since the conflict began." i knew that jordan killed palestinians, but from that statement i can tell that you are quite ignorant about the situation in the middle east. furthermore, are you suggesting that israel do away with the rest of its palestinians?

meghalc: interesting observation. I don't see any problem with that.
