..appears to be real, and appears to be due to a single EPA and single IBM employee actions....according to other news articles....sad but it may be one bozo has cost thousands of others their income....
Well they should be banned from government contracts anyway. I worked as an intern at a USGS data center (where all the earth satellite imagery is stored... you see a lot of those images on Google earth) and we had a really shady situation where we should have had a choice on what vendor to use for a VMWare virtualization solution. We had picked out another companies servers and we ended up being forced to use the IBM bladecenter... we already had one in and had nothing but trouble with it. Everyone was suspicious that there was some under the table stuff going on with the IBM rep and the guy responsible for forcing us to get the bladecenter.

FYI, IBM is a massive chip manufacturer. I guess they should just stop making all of those processors that's in a lot of things you use.
