nationofcriminals.com — The Huffington Post censors you. Comments are deleted with very little justification. This, from one of the most "liberal" (liberals believe in personal freedoms - things like, oh say, not being censored) sites on the web.

The Huffington Post is a believer of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression as long as you share their views. If you do not agree with their views they use repressive tactics and censured you. I use to write clean comments with no defamation or profanity that were critical to some of their views. The result, 50% of the time would not post my comments and sometimes when they did, then later delete them. Now I wait until they post in digg and then I give them a piece of my mind. They preach a Liberal stance and inclusiveness but they don't follow it. If we get from an Obama administration what we get from the Huffington Post we are in deep s**t!!! They will open concentrations camps for their opponents. w w w. readwhatisee. c o m

The Huffington Post does censor comments, often for no obvious reason! My comments were deleted, and I have seen comments posted that are nearly identical to the ones I tried to post. They also ban you from commenting. Yes, they BAN you! Someone please recommend a better online news source, because I don't want to give support to a site that doesn't seem to believe in free speech.

i have never heard of an american website that does not censor. what does that tell you about america as a country? it oppresses its people and is fascist in nature. ever wonder why there is so much propaganda telling you that america is a free country? thats because it isnt one, thats why they have to spend so much money telling you that there is one. the financial oligarchs are afraid that if you knew america was a repressive country that the people will revolt. this is exactly what needs to happen. the american people need to stand up against their govt. im not talking about bush or obama. they are just actors in the game. the entire system needs to be brought down. with that said, most english speaking websites also censor. i think that most other english speaking countries are also oppressive, however the usa takes the cake.

HP censors comments that do not agree with their idelology. Thought provoking posts compete with their writers, and reveal fallacous reasoning. HP wouldn't want the public to know that ordinary people have more common sense than their writers. The MSM is only concerned with protecting their own freedom of speech, and not the American citizens!

I had this happen today... and I am a liberal, my post on HP was liberal leaning and in NO way inflammatory. I wrote to them asking for an answer about why my post was deleted... nothing. I wrote asking that my account be deleted... nothing. I am really, really pissed (and that is language FAR stronger than in my post that was deleted).

Same BS happened to me. I rarely ever comment or reply to any articles I read, but I had to comment on this one dumb article they had on their front page. Anyway, I checked back to see if anyone had responded to my comments, but couldn't find them anywhere. I find out later they were deleted. I tried to post again, but tone it down a little bit, the comments were deleted again. I tried posting a comment to another article, and made it a very simple comment. Still deleted. Goodbye Huffington Post, I guess it's time to start reading the Guardian again.

Yes, same here. I'm considering starting a blog to highlight this censorship but its really not worth my time.. I'm extremely disappointed in the huffingtonpost because this was one of my favorite sites. I noticed several times in the past that they posted links that seemed purposely deceptive, taken out of context or just plain erroneous but I didn't really care enough to post about it at the time. Today it was "Obama sends secret letter to Putin!". I saw that and was like huh?!. Turns out he sent a letter to Medvedev which to my understanding wasn't intended to be kept a secret (why would he announce every letter he mails off?) and when I pointed out that not only was the title and the header wrong about it being sent to Putin, so was the image linked to the page which showed Obama and Vladimir Putin in the same image. In the same comment I mentioned that on another page they misquoted Michael Steele saying that he apologized to Limbaugh for his "inaccurate" comments when I think he actually said "inarticulate" comments. And that it isn't a big deal but considering I've noticed this sort of thing happening ALOT its frustrating not being able to trust the accuracy of their "news" blog. First they posted my comment, then it disappeared after about 5 minutes, they changed the image on the mainpage and changed the link to say Russia instead of Putin (so I know it wasn't just a bot deleting my posts). But if you clicked on the link the title still said Putin. So I made another comment, something similar but shorter and questioned why they removed my post... This one was deleted much faster and anytime I mentioned specifics on how they were being misleading or inaccurate they immediately pulled my comments. And finally I wrote another comment on an article titled "Bush considered scrapping the 1st amendment" where I talked about how ironic it was they are highlighting this just as they are censoring my comments which were entirely truthful and not at all offensive. This comment was also removed. Although I posted a much shorter one that didn't get specific about their shortcomings as an accurate source of news a bit ago which seems to have slipped through the watchful eye of big brother huffington. Sorry for the epic post but I'm really annoyed. I hope this gets more diggs and I hope other people view their website with a grain of salt. Not just for the censorship aspect but the content is truly misleading or wrong a good portion of the time. 2 others I found today matched this criteria "WHITE HOUSE HITS CNBC AGAIN" giving the false impression Gibbs was firebombing cnbc... It was nothing like that, I was watching cspan live when it came up >< and "Fox's Glenn Beck Threatens To Kill Anyone Who Buys Blago Book" Beck was clearly joking when he said this and it shouldn't have wasted space here. Well heres another one... "Pelosi To House GOP: Be Thankful For What You Have" she never said this. They make it look like its a quote but it isn't. Its just a vague interpretation of what she said that is quite misleading.... I spent about 20 minutes reading articles on their site too, not hours trolling for inaccuracies. They are seriously on nearly every page! Shame on you huffpo! Anyone know a good, accurate, news site? (One that isn't in the pockets of big business like all the major ones)

My account just got inexplicably deleted from HuffPost while I was in the middle of making a comment! Maybe they got mad because I said in a comment a few minutes before that "Cynthia Nixon is one hot mama and Christine Moriononi is one lucky woman!" Why this is so offensive to them that they would delete my account outright with no warning is beyond me...but the admins on HuffPost apparently have more in common with Hitler, Franco and Mussolini than with any alleged "liberal".Hypocrites!!!!!!!!!

The Huffington Post needs to be exposed for its extreme censorship. If you expose any issue with their site, they delete and/or refuse to post the comment. Arianna Huffington is a fraud.

f**k! Sorry, i just needed to feel uncensored for a moment. I just recently went to huffpost thinking i could participate intelligently on the most pertinent issues. Boy, was i wrong. So many of my comments, without any profanity i might add, were censored. Things like saying Bush was the worst ijit this country has ever had, is definitely censored but there are things far more subtle that is summarily blocked. It's either because of political bias or pure stupidity. It doesn't really matter. If you have something to say, you will be totally frustrated and in reality, shut out. This makes Huffpost a dishonest place. Sometimes people misspell words like Israel or idiot and sometimes it gets through. Anyways, I've been there a couple of weeks and I'm so fed up and frustrated with their s**t that I'm giving up on this crappy site.

" I'm considering starting a blog to highlight this censorship "Please do, I will fill it up with my frustration of huffpost

Here is an example of what they have censored-"Peace is good and i do think there has to be negotiations but that has been the excuse to keep the status quo because there is not enough pressure on Iz--el to accept a deal. Respecting the basic rights of Paletinians should not be contingent on negotiations. Am i fanatical for advocating outside intervention to protect the Palestin-ans?I am against all violence period and i clearly see what is sustaining it. I am tired of sophists who speak of peace from one side of their mouths and offer only the same intangible goods from the other."So what kind of assh**e would censor that? This kind of interference with free speach is exactly what we critisize totalitrian regimes for. Liberal? bulls**t! more like incompetant.

Hello all, was kicked out of the HP last night and had all comments erased. I would oh so very much like to contact the people that were following me but now that seems impossible. In fact, I wonder if the HP kept my FB and Twit link information. In any case, It seems the HP did not like my take on Deepak Chopra or Ervin Laszlo, I sent them an email to complain about my comments not posting and the next thing I knew was HP no more... I posted in my blog the extended story and I will probably continue as I just sent them an email asking for explanation: http://theradicalsecularist.com/?p=294

I didn't know Huffington Post censored comments until yesterday. There is an article written by Dr. Richard Warshak for the new Divorce section, and any comments critical of Warshak or parental alienation are not allowed to go through. I know of at least four people who tried to comment whose comments did not make it past the moderators and those comments were in no way inflammatory or derogatory. Merely critical. Isn't there anything that can be done about this?
Here's the link to the article if you want to read it and/or complain:

Huffington Post now uses bots to moderate comments. It won't allow comments where certain words are used. Even if it's a quote.
Their policy states: "In order to promote an open and transparent conversation, the Huffington Post moderates comments on news stories and blog posts." A total oxymoron.
It used to be an interesting site with thought-provoking comments. No more. The control over it's members has reduced the site to nothing but repetitive, sanitized opinions.
The "badges" are a joke too. Certain badge-holders get their comments posted at the top, surrounded by a thick border as if it were a message from God. Most of the time it's a boring ramble. No one dares to comment, but they do leave the expected token of respect - the honor of designated "favorite".
What a disappointment Huffington Post has become.

its not just huffington post, it is most english speaking websites. america and its rogue allies are NOT free countries. they obviously oppress their people and need a revolution to straighten them out. as far as hp being liberal. how can any website funded by multinational corporations be truly liberal

I've become totally frustrated w/ Huffington Post arbitrarily not letting my posts go through.
There needs to be a section, or process for airing legitimate disputes. I understand they need to moderate, but this feels like complete censorship. Very dissappointed.
My latest censorship experience of many... after trying 3 times to make a post.. in response to another poster who condemned the entire nation of China (and me) for suggesting that unfair. I tried to respond about "altruism" and human nature in general. How controversial is that? in response to utter racism and personal insult. My post attempts were not allowed, but the racist and insulting one remained.
Another poster once stated she believes the moderators simply like or don't like certain posters. Great!
I want to find a better forum that allows for the free expression of ideas. Boy, was I wrong about Huffpo! (Also, I am liberal).

I'm so sick of having my thoughts censored by the huffpo police!
Some guy named Duke Steele posted this
In the end when all is said and done, we're AMERICA and we're better than anyone. Thats why we stand up to our enemies first and ask questions later. Now, all you liberals that disagree can now chastise me for what I've said. But, as a former Marine, I don't care what you think. Unlike you, and Obama and his wife,I love my country.
The following was my response thet never got posted
Duke Steele unfortunately we also have people like you in Canada. You and your kind served humankind well for hundreds of thousands of years. Why with out you we would never have killed the neanderthals and taken our place at the top, but the sad fact is that you have become the neanderthal. Your method is banal and outdated. Thanks for cutting down the trees but now it's time to build houses.
When I want to see macho chest thumping then I'll make mine Marvel.
