But is Huckabee similar to the Clintons? Will someone who is digging Huckabee please get the answer to these charges... http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2007/11/13/hu ... ...I just checked out the "Truth Squad" on the Huckabee site which claimed that the only decision against him was reversed on appeal. The rest of the Truth, apparently was that it was all about "so-called reporters" and democrats trying to smear him. I didn't see any specifics that leave me trusting that I just read the truth--I certainly didn't read "what actually happened." I also didn't believe everything in the Salon piece either. My question is "Why is a portion of the Christian community not more skeptical about supporting Huckabee?" In jest, a late-night comedian said to Ron Paul, "You appear to have consistent principled integrity.... Americans don't usually go for that." #1 - I'd stop raising this issue if Huckabee would substantively answer the alleged smear piece out there and #2 - I really hope Americans demand full integrity and accountability from our next President. What we don't need is a debate over what "finances" mean, anymore than we needed another Arkansas politician to define "sex" for us. Huckabee--please set the record straight.
In response to your question "Why is a portion of the Christian community not more skeptical about supporting Huckabee?" If you have not already done so I would urge you to check out Mike's speech at the Values Voter Summit available on the Huckabee website or copy and paste this link. http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=B ... As an Christian Conservative, who could better embody my values and convictions? There is no doubt Mike Huckabee is the man.
