Lots of misconceptions here. Let's clear them up.First, the guy did it backwards. He started by shedding fat, which pretty much blocks any muscle gain. He didn't grow any lean body mass at first, he just got rid of the layer of lard.He should have started by gaining muscle (which is hard) and worry about getting rid of fat (which is easy) about 18 months later. That's what many people do. They just start lifting hard, eating a lot, and they bulk up quickly. After a while, about 3 months of carbs-restricted diet is all it takes to bring down the fat from 18...20% or wherever it is to a very good-looking 10% or less.People who find it hard to reduce the % of fat either follow a bad diet, or their metabolism is pathologically slow. With a lot of lean body mass (muscle) and a metabolism that's accelerated by training, it's trivial to lose many pounds of fat in a short time.A lot of progress can be made without steroids. A natural athlete can make sustained gains of 2 lb lean body mass / month without steroids, just very good eating, very good training and a healthy life style. Even more than 2 lb / month if you're a total newbie - I went from 140lb to 190lb, all the time staying around 10% body fat (and I'm 6 feet tall), in about a year. No steroids involved - actually, I never took steroids. Oh, and I'm older than 35, which supposedly should make these gains harder. ;-)Having lots of muscle is not unhealthy. Having lots of fat is _very_ unhealthy. Don't mix these things up.A guy who's 6 feet tall and weighs 210lb at 10% body fat (a ripped, muscular athlete) is probably as healthy as it gets. Same guy, same 210lb, but at 25% body fat (a couch potato) is a type 2 diabetes casualty waiting to happen.Steroids don't shrink the penis. If anything, they probably enlarge it slightly. They will shrink the balls though, because the natural production of testosterone shuts down. It is reversible, at the end of the cycle the balls are essentially "rebooted" and everything returns to normal.Steroids in moderate dosage (like back in the 70's, when Arnold used to compete) are not unhealthy, if a certain protocol is followed to the letter. There are actually health benefits to be derived from that - increased bone density, healthier joints, etc.On the flip side, there are studies showing that there might be an increased risk of prostate cancer associated with elevated testosterone levels. The jury is still out. What is definitely very unhealthy is taking very large dosages of steroids and not follow the protocol. That's what some people did and got into trouble. That's why the steroids were banned.
Im sorry guys, but the guy took steroids - probably winstrol or some other cutting steroid. You can tell this by when he gets completely shreded, gains a six pack but then loses it several weeks later - I am a steroid user - I have used winstrol before, it is known for cutting up and does not aromitize, meaning you dont get the side effects like man boobs and acne. He also did other cycles later on. A use commented on how his waistline grew along w/ his arms, which was water retention. This is a side effect on bulkin steroids such as sustenon250, which is my guess as well. This guy should fess up about using roids. In my opinion, he totally did.
I didn't realize I had fallen victim to any set of beliefs....Thanks for pointing my beliefs out to me! Next time I'm on the treadmill at the gym I'll have to remember that it's not all about getting big, it's about getting healthy! Oh, wait, maybe I already knew that.......Some of these guys that you think have legs like drumsticks might care more about their strength than how nice their legs look.....Maybe you think he looks like a freak, but he probobly doesn't care. Why do you think you get to decide what legs are supposed to look like on anyone else? Or what somebody's goals for working out should be?

Don't know if you noticed this, but your head is way to small for your body. You look great, but I'm all about proportions.
