Actually they're just frightened to death when "facts" and evidence clearly show them that much of what they believe in just can NOT be true. That it's scientifically impossible. So instead of denouncing the religion they have followed and believe in as being a "fraud" and a shame...they attack science as being just that instead. How "logic" works like that in their heads is beyond me. It's like blaming the pretty girl for being raped. It's not a "rational" way of thinking and looking at things. Reasoning like that just does not "compute" in my own head.
