pramnos.com — Windows and most of the proprietary software requires more and more computer power as it's version increases. This results to new hardware all the time for us. But what about our old abandoned PCs? Should we throw them away?Of course not! Linux gives us many opportunities to use our old hardware and keep it alive while saving money.

I don't buy an iPod. Not because it's mainstream but because it's made in countries known for very poor workmanship, sweatshop conditions and overall s**tty human rights records. I buy clothing made in the US or in countries where quality is actually a priority. Same with my computer(s), same for my appliances, same for my personal music players (minidisc at the moment). It's not a coincidence that everyone I know who has an iPod is on their second or third one due to breakage of the hardware through normal use. That and I find it ridiculous to pay that much for an mp3 player that probably costs the company 1/100 to make.
