blifaloo.com — The following techniques to telling if someone is lying are often used by police, and security experts. This knowledge is also useful for managers, employers, and for anyone to use in everyday situations where telling the truth from a lie can help prevent you from being a victim of fraud/scams and other deceptions.

Even the eye contact myth has been disproven many times. Most practiced liars pick up on this expectation early and deliberately make eye contact when they're lying. I'll digg it for the "change of topic" tip/trick alone though.

This does not apply to junkies when they are lying.Just a few points...A guilty person gets defensive. An innocent person will often go on the offensive.A junkie get offensive when confronted.A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.A junkie will look you straight in the eye while telling you anything.A liar is uncomfortable facing his questioner/accuser and may turn his head or body away.A junkie will make a scene, all the while making you out to be that bad guy for even asking.Liars sometimes avoid "lying" by not making direct statements. They imply answers instead of denying something directly.A junkie will flat out deny.Words may be garbled and spoken softly, and syntax and grammar may be off. In otherwords, his sentences will likely be muddled rather than emphasized.A junkie will flat out say what they think you want to hear, and will make it known what they are saying. They know what they want to tell you, and they will tell it loud and proud.I guess this only applies to generally honest people who are trying to lie, not the "professional" liars.
