That isn't a gender issue, it's a matter of interests. If you're dating someone who doesn't share interest in genres you like, then find someone who does. This applies to things like movies and books too, and to platonic relationships as well. Genre preference isn't determined by whether a person has boobs or not. I'm almost your age and have been gaming since the age of 2-3. I play across lots of genres. So basically, meet new people.

My girlfriend was the one that got ME hooked on Final Fantasy, God of War (she was pissed when I finished the second one before her), Kingdom Hearts, and a few others. I'd be scared to try and take the controller away from her...might draw back a nub. :) Doesn't interfere with the rest of our lives, though, I'm quite happy to say. :)

I don't quite see how this is an issue. If you have a problem with what your significant other does, you should try and understand it and enjoy it instead of saying its a "problem." Why should the things your significant things your other enjoys be a problem? I think YOU personally have a problem if you are being so shallow as not to try and understand it. It is like being a racist, you hate someone for being different without trying to understand and realize that they DO have something beneficial that you can learn from it. But instead because you are a racist, you just decide that because someone is black or white or asian or middle eastern, that they are "bad" without diving in. So take a second and think about what you just said. It's not a problem with your girl being involved in video games, its you, deciding that it is a problem, instead of taking a healthy approach to understand your woman. Maybe that is why she is ignoring your ass, because you don't take the time to understand her.-NOIZROCX
