Quickly raise your knee to meet the dog when it jumps up on you. Time it to catch the dog in the ribs, solar plexus or snout. Don't do it hard. Don't do it meanly. Remain calm and friendly. Just let the dog run it's own momentum up on your protruding knee. "Oh look, see how that happened? You jumped up and my knee came up. Amazing." Dogs are bright enough to put 2 and 2 together and come up with; "Jumping up on people is unpleasant." without their perceiving it as a negative or aggressive reaction from you. Usually takes less than a half dozen "run ins" or so before the behavior improves dramatically, especially with member household support to reinforce.
