This is true. Unless Maxthon depends on an IE install for certain functions, that seems like something I might try.

I have problems all the time with IE. For example, Active X, no tabs, poor security, poor CSS support, etc, etc...I'll gladly give up a couple of lame ass websites to ditch the items I listed.

For those who didn't want to read the site...- ActiveX over the web won't work. It can't own you because it's container, IE, will not be present on the system.- Windows update won't work. So use Daisy or go to <a class="user" href="http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/">http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/</a>For other posts:- PayPal works in FireFox and Mozilla 1.8.- Maxthon is IE. It uses the same HTML display engine.- XPLite costs money. NLite, at <a class="user" href="http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html">http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html</a> is free.- If you can't view it in your browser it means the designer doesn't code to current w3c standards. <a class="user" href="http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/">http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/</a> You need to teach the webmaster by dropping them a line. "IE only" sites are on the decline, and that's because people send mail saying "your html is invalid, please fix it." That's _how_ that happens. Then again, I'm someone who's part of the solution, not the problem, so my point of view will necessarily be different.

Ohhhh yeah. BTW. How can boot time be reduced?Put it this way. What app do you think is loading during bootup? (Internet Explorer's DLLs are loading.)
