nope. i conclude it will not work because both the soda and the mentos lose that energy or "kick" needed for such a cool reaction and you would need a cup looking like a nozel for it to get out of the cup. and lastly the guy will drink it all before it melts! I'm going to have to say under the right conditions it might work if made in the ice a special way so I will call this "plausible" myth busted.

@EvilJelloManYeah it has nothing with loosing weight, it has more to do with:I can feel good about myself because I did an healthy choice!Last year I was at Subway and saw three women coming in:2 fat f**ks1 who was really gorgeous and real slimThe 3 of them were together and the 2 fat ones ordered 6'' sub with extra cheese and a s**t load (and I really mean a s**t load) of mayonnaise with a chip and the large pop. Then at the table they were talking about how hard it is to loose weight and how fun it is to have a subway near where they work since it's healthy food. At that time they had a promotion where you were sure to win something on your pop. Both won cookies and they went right away to get them... 6'' sub with extra mayonnaise, chips, pop and cookies but they were congratulating themselves on going to a healthy restaurant!
