Ya, i remember touching a camera's capacator a while back, it really does hurt like a bitch, goddamn thing almost made me fall down the stairs. Could be a great use to shock your friends, but watch out, you'll have an ass-kickin coming.
I made one of these, but i hooked a wire to each pole of the capacitor and made the leads come out where the camera trigger was. I could ask someone take a picture and they'd get the sheeyot zapped out of them.My principal heard my friends and I zapping metal things with the camera ( it makes a loud pop) and he came up and snatched it out of my hands saying, "what is going on here ZAP!" He shocked the crap out of himself in front of all my friends and his eyes were wide open in disbelief. He said, "I haven't felt a shock like that since i worked as a 10th grade science teacher....WOW." About 2 months later, i found out he wrote me a referral for that little incident.

Something that shocks less (but still feels), is a similar part from a push-down-lighter. Costs less too. ;)
