pcworld.com— Microsoft may be sunsetting XP, but you'll still be able to buy it on some new systems--and support isn't going away for several years.

Run Vista, and you'll live... at least a while. And eating up your gigs of RAM, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back to /b/ and tell our enemies that they may try to push Vista on us, but they'll never take... OUR XP!
As opposed to "f**k You, Get the f**k out of here". I see your point, I was being horribly ignorant and short sided. Please excuse me while I put myself out of everyone else's misery. /sP.S. Therefore has a trailing e.
Get back to your classes, or your Mom will kick your ass. What are the tasks Vista wants a dualcore and 1.5 GB RAM for?It can really blow your mind with its bugs. But not with performance.
Linux does everything I need and everything I want, except some games. The only reason I still keep XP on my box is gaming. I have a similar box in my office, but it runs Vista. Vista can do exactly the same XP can (plus some tasks which I run in Linux at home), but requires much more resources for EXACTLY THE SAME things. I will downgrade my office box to XP tomorrow.Vista is more secure?! Proof please.
