blog.nerdbucket.com — I like Linux, but some people get just a bit carried away. David Wheeler wrote "sloccount" to implement a broken model for determining project cost and effort based on lines of code. Then he used that program to prove that Linux 7.2 was worth over one billion dollars.Logic and common sense rip this program, and Wheeler's assertions, apart.

OTOH who do you suppose gives a crap what you think about anything? Apparently your title might attract m$ and MAC fanboys and you can all get together in your mom's basement and bitch about Linux and some guy who's name I already forgot... really, get a life make something, anything better, even just a little bit.

Quite simply, as is evidenced by both responses, my point is made for me. Linux zealots are nutty. Linux itself I have no problem with (reading that first sentence tells you that much).Oldman, my mom's basement is reserved for very... special things. I cannot say any more, legally.Schestowitz, I never said it was a spokesman. I just said the zealotry of the author (Wheeler, who is fairly well-known in the linux world) was absurd and the reason I can't stand zealots. For the record I hate Mac zealots as well. MS zealots are too hard to come by for me to hate them - nobody can even fake loving MS enough to be a full-time zealot.
