The common people get tricked a lot.I just had to explain phishing to my dad the other day. He couldn't figure out why something from his bank was in his spam folder and what exactly they wanted.I explained to him about phishing and told him to never trust an Internet address that is asking you for a username and password unless you have typed that bank's website into the addressbar yourself. Never click on a link anywhere and enter in your bank username and password.

To see how much eBay really cares about phishing, take a _legitimate_ email that they send you and forward it to spoof@ebay.com. You'll soon receive a response that they conducted a thorough investigation and found the email to be fraud, never trust emails in your inbox, etc..
