hehe... I pay 50 bucks for optimum online I get 1.6 mega byte per sec(yes i use all this downstream on newsgroup *evil laugh*) and very soon I'm going to be getting optonline boost 30Mbps and 2Mbps, and slow ass upload but I don't care, I care more for downstream hehe.. *cough I pay 0 for sat. 50 for t-mobile no phone in my apartment, why? have cell.
You have to consider cost of living for a reasonable comparison.I've had 100Mbps (up and down) fiber for a few years now with no caps for about US$45, but that 'feels like' about US$30 - the same as a dinner and few beers at not-too-fancy restaurant.I had 40 Mbps Adsl before that for about US$25, or the cost of one small pizza per month.I live in Japan.

I pay $40 a month for 256K/128K cable! There "business" package is $100 for 1.5M/768K.Small towns suck.
