When I was coming up, we did carry our hunting rifles to school in our gunracks in our pickup trucks and went hunting after school. We also spent our afternoons and weekends working in the hay fields and to bacco patches. Afterwards we would all go swimming at the rock quarry where the water was always cool and inviting. We hung out on the square, the dam, or at Startton's Drive In. When we had differences to settle we did with fisticuffs. No one pulled out guns or knives as that was a pussy way to fight. As for the general topic here the ACLU has a different agenda, they want a socialist society. You know one where we have a leadership of obstinate, stuck in the mud ideology and stubborn to the death leadership. At the time all of us in junior and high school were losing our senior classmates to the draft and they were dying in a conflict, not a war in Vietnam. Today we have a all volunteer military that is stretched beyond its means. Our borders are porous and our enemies are within those borders and in goevernment positions. They like the disparity of the races and economic differences, because it makes us an easy target. We are being weakend from within, with piss poor leadership and complacency by the population allowing the ACLU and our own elected (what a joke) officials. With low voter registration and turn out our civil rights are being eroded in the name of protectionsm. Our senses are dulled because of the media and soft money available to our candidates. All allowing our Civil Rights granted by the Constitution to be eroded. We allow our manufacturers to relocate overseas because of cheap labor and offer them tax advantahes for doing so. We as a people need to exercise our right to vote and control the direction of our country for future generations. In my 50 years on this planet and country I have witnessed the depreciation of the pride we once held as Americans in the name of protectin the same rights afforded us by the U.S. Constitution. We need to rise up and replace these politicians and hang all lobbyist especially those that represent big business interest and the ACLU and other socialist factions claiming to protect our Civil Rights.
