eer ramiro...we think they're f**king WHACK jobs too... but you can't define 1 and 2 so... black and white.1 gets violent too.. remember the abortion doctor y'all murdered? 2 is in a war zone. if ANY of you weak people that are bat s**t insane enough to believe in something with NO PROOF WHATSOEVER tried to tell me how to live, I'd get up in there grill too.So just because you're in a christian digg article about one of your loons, don't think we don't think like this for all of your imaginary friends. :)
argagarg... when was the last time you talked to a 15 year old? In the church 15 is about the earliest you can get confirmed... which in my opinion is too early. That's sophomore year in high school... and there's a reason its call "sophomore" year. You're right I don't know you... I don't know how mature you were at 15. You're also right that many Christians don't know very much at that age... that's why when you say you probably knew more than most 15 year old Christians it doesn't' mean much to me. I went to Catholic school k-12. I was raised in a Catholic home that didn't leave education to the teachers (in all areas of education). My parents are both engineers so if you're getting some idea that they're uneducated religious nuts you can forget about that. Many kids that went to my high school did not have a religious school background... and quite frankly many of them didn't know jack. Some hadn't heard accounts that I remember from Sunday school. You know what? I knew probably more than 90% of the kids at my religious school when I was 15 and I can tell you that from what I know now that that was a time of learning... of just getting started. Confirmation is a rite of initiation... not a seal of completed knowledge. It confuses me when atheists say I figured this out when I was this young... I was right when I was so and so... how is that something to be proud of? Something to cement your views as right. That you haven't actually changed any of your views or perceptions since you were 13 or 15? We're both still young by any account and yet we're both old enough to know that the teenage years are the years we think we know everything but don't actually know jack.argagarg... until you can explain why humans would choose to do drugs, alcohol, smoke when they know full well that its bad for them. Until you can explain why humans would rather sit at home watching tv instead of going outside and enjoying life. until you can explain why humans would rather yell at complete strangers when they think they've been wronged then actually be polite and gain some understanding.... until you can really explain why humans would do all the sins they do commit when the immediate consequences are so obvious then you can't really explain why they would choose to be in hell. Why? because its the exact same thing. Its not a different choice... its the same choice.I didn't say people when to hell for their beliefs... I said they go to hell for their choices. I've already stated that just because you aren't christian or specifically Catholic does NOT mean you will go to hell. And I'm not about to say someone that doesn't think there is enough proof that there is a God is going to hell either. Lets look at Saint Thomas... saint being the key word. He didn't believe with out Jesus standing in front of him after dying on the cross even after all the time he spend with Jesus before... so why then would I say you'd go to hell just for not believing you have enough proof? Which by the way an agnostic says I don't know... and atheist says their isn't... you're using the word probably which puts you somewhere in between.Yes sin entered the world... sin is very attractive... in fact they say that Lucifer was the most beautiful angel until the fall. And the reason he fell was because he was so full of himself.Lets look at some of these dictators you speak of... Hitler committed suicide in a bunker after living in a sickly state for a time after being the target of an assassination. Saddam was on the run hiding in a hole when we found him... and was hung by his own people (in a quite disrespectful manner that I don't agree with but sin begets sin). Lets look at all the people in jail for their schemes. Then the people who have committed suicide when their schemes fell apart. How about all them gangsters living in fear of the next violent crime. Its such a rewarding end to the thousands the hs kids have been making selling drugs. All the people on drugs, alcohol, promiscuous sex... I'm sure they all enjoy their addictions... especially after the side affects start showing up. You may think sin is rewarding... but that's just the attractiveness pulling you in... it doesn't take long before it catches up with you. People are so amazed that celebrities like Elvis or Jackson die the deaths they do... I'm not. The guy that stole your bike either needed it more than you... or he's going to get caught some day. My neighbor had his battery stolen out of his lawn mower probably for a meth lab.... ever heard of a successful meth lab scenario? Well i haven't heard of someone getting their start stealing bikes either. You know its wrong to steal bikes... they know its wrong... if they didn't they would have done it in front of you. That's a choice. unless of course they were somehow forced to steal the bike... see where all that comes down to specific life experiences.Whats dangerous about sin is when people try to reason that it isn't a sin. You spent half your post trying to reason that the world is set up to encourage sin... complained about being sinned against... and then stated that doing the right think is nothing but moral conviction and therefor unimportant. You don't believe in a God because you're afraid of the possibility he might exist. At least thats what i get from what you've said so far. You started with hell... the consequence you didn't like... and decided if you didn't believe in it that you wouldn't have to be afraid of it. That makes no sense to me.I'm a sinner... and i can tell you sin IS very attractive... there are many things I've done that seemed oh so great at the time... but not one thing I've done against God's plan (i.e sins) has made me a better person... or made me feel good about myself. I'm not afraid of the consequences of a fire and brimstone hell... I'm afraid of not being strong enough to make the right choices. The best choices. What's right for me.It'd take me quite some time to list out all the biblical references as to how it all fits in. Thats because the Catholic Church uses a whole picture view. I could do so if you want... or you could check out the CCC for yourself and what it has to say about heaven, hell, purgatory, sin, etchttp://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/a.shtmlthat's the index for easy searching.

I"m pretty sure it was for a good bit there. At least in the south in the early to mid 1900s.
