The difference between campaigning for causes and offering jobs, is that the job offer directly affects the "talent pool", as it were, of available people for elected positions.Endorsing, fund raising and otherwise campaigning for causes to help his party, while not the job we elected him to do, doesn't affect this "talent pool".
Apparently they couldn't come up with any new ideas for manufactured "scandals" to spout faux-outrage over today, so we're revisting an old classic.

Then Obama should be firing somebody's ass for playing "politics as usual," when I am sure he made very clear orders to subordinates not to engage in nefarious political behavior.
