x.johndoro.com — Using MS Mappoint, Google Maps and Google Earth, and other information commonly found on the web, a blogger beat his speeding ticket by asking them to prove he was the guilty party. Interesting read, even if it's skirting legality.

"Dismissed without prejudice" is not a win, it is a dismissal which lets the state refile charges. A dismissal "with prejudice" would mean the state could not refile.

Anyone notice that the digg and the flickr account linked in the blog post are the same username?

Everyone knows, including officers, that the "speed kills" propaganda was and is a lie. Speed limits are typically arbitrary, set up to test the public's tolerance while extracting as much revenue as possible.Don't chide your fellow citizen with "don't speed" bulls**t; it betrays that you're so spineless and weak-willed that you'd rather submit to rip-offs and be victimized than stand up for yourself.Even cops would ticket EVERY person who fails to signal their lane changes and turns, states' and cities' coffers would overflow with revenue no one would be able to argue.

Moral of the story: This only works if you have a good and reasonable/open-minded judge...and not my judge who convicts innocent people like me
