laptoplifestyle.net — Oh geez, I know this one is going to get lost really fast. Apparently, it wasn't good enough to make them small. OCZ has now started to make drives that are thinner. So thin (2.8mm!?) that I know that it's going to get stuck somewhere, and I'll never get it back!

Yeah...sandisk has an SD card that has a usb plug on the other side....keep it in your camera....or even better your phone if it accepts it...even more security than the 1gb usb stick that I lost when it was around my neck plus dual uses and SD is pretty much a set standard and there are 512, 1gb and 2gb versions....this isn't so revolutionary...drizzle

I have an istick too, somehow the LED is always on the wrong damn side for me to even see it.I wonder if this is made the same.It seems that the connector is now the limiting factor in the size of these drives.

I beg to differ. I'm not going to use a USB drive to keep all of my data on -- I just want it to store files and a few programs I want to keep with me all the time. I work in a computing center at my university, and tons of people leave their USB drives here on accident, and normally they are using less than 50 MB of space on them. I'd much rather have something that is small (i.e. fits in my wallet) and durable than something that has 10x more space than I'll ever use, and I'd suspect there are a lot of other people who feel the same.

Am I the only one who still like Compact Flash? It's not for any technical aspect of it. I just like that I can hold it in a clenched fist without the fear of crushing it to dust.Damn tiny tech!
