chartreuse.wordpress.com— A surprisingly insightful article on why Paris Hilton is famous and what web developers can learn from that.

What he describes actually sound similar to the Digg model, link to loads of other sites, they realise they're getting traffic from you, and reciprocate (digg this! type buttons on their websites)Let's just hope Kevin never tries to launch a singing career off the back of it
The fact that there are (at the moment) 50 comments and 728 diggs pretty well proves his point. We clicked because we saw the name Paris Hilton. Some because we think she's hot, others because we were wondering what on earth someone as annoying as her has to do with web development. We clicked because we love her, we clicked because we hate her. Either way, we clicked, and that's the whole point.
joaob: A blog entry with 371 words and seven pictures took you 20 minutes to read. You sound like you've got some big problems if that is the case - it took me about a minute to read. I'm sure if you Google for 'speed reading', you might be able to increase your reading rate beyond 18 words per minute.
Actually, your webpage should just contain the words "Paris Hilton" ... and perhaps Lindsay Lohan and Hillary Duff. Check the Facebook connections between Paris Hilton and Project417... unconfirmed rumours or web marketing ... ?

My 16y.o.daughter has been following the same marketing strategy to make her webpages become very popular and growing by the day.. it actually works a beauty.. over 20,000 visitors in a short time.. by changing her name to Paris Skilton.. "The Aussie Paris"..http://www.shamozzle.com/TheAussieParisNudeAt17Vote.html
