Leverage.With a proper winch, they could've parked near the top of the bank and then they would have been pulling upward -- at least a lot more so than they were with the raw sheering approach that ripped the frame off of the axle.
Deflated tires are better in sand than they are mud. If you're spinning tires in the mud, I don't care how much you deflate them, you're going to the bottom.
How many Idiots there and not 1 with a Hi-Lift Jack? When I got my Jeep that had to be one of the first things I got, a Hi-Lift jack can get you out of allot of situations
