cbs2.com — The victim said that he had advertised the consoles on Craigslist.com, and was trying to sell both items for $5,000. The seller met the two men around 1 a.m. at a McDonalds. The victim was then assaulted with pepper spray and robbed of the coveted consoles.

Trying to sell 2 PS3's for $5000... Who was the real crook here... But seriously; he probably tried to sell them on eBay, but noticed that the prices dropped from their pre-launch highs. He had to find another way to try to justify standing in the line for as long as he did. Plus; after you tell everyone about how you're gonna make so much money re-selling these things, its kind of hard to settle for doubling your investment.Common sense (a rare commodity now-a-days) would tell you not to go meet a complete stranger to make a $5000 deal in the middle of some parking lot at 1 in the morning. If he tells you its then or no deal, just remember; you have the item he wants which means you are in control of the sale. If he refuses to meet at a safer time and place, don't worry; there will be some other poor sap to come along who is just as desperate for this system and willing to pay whatever amount you ask....I'm just glad the Wii launch went a lot smoother than the PS3 and 360... They didn't need any more fuel added to this fire in DC.

This is just hopefully a lesson to open this kids eyes, they could have killed him instead of just giving him an sore eyes for a couple of days. For the robbers that was pretty ballsy I mean the guy probably saw their faces and cant they track them through Craig's List?

Keep in mind that he was also selling 17 games and four controllers. While that still doesn't equal $5,000, it was worth more than $1,000.

Granted, the seller should not have agreed to meet at a McDonald's at 1am, but there is absolutely never an excuse for physical assault and robbery. Those thugs belong behind bars.
