One of my friends has a tablet PC with no CD or floppy drive and thus can only boot off network and hdd. He dropped it and screwed the hdd and now hes running a linux livecd. I told him to take it to geeksquad as a joke (not like i was screwing him, like, we both wanted to see what geeksquad would do) and see what they do. This reminds me why i told him that. Geeksquad = assclowns
yeah, let me just pull out the wad of cash I always keep handy for all the times I've been served injustice and therefore must hire a lawyer to make sure justice is dealt. Oh wait, I don't have a wad of cash and oh crap, I'm currently unemployed too . . . since I was terminated. Oh well, guess I'll rant about it in a blog.You make it sound so easy mike, get a clue.
Ok, I know this is a major tangent here, but when someone says something is Never okay. They are usually wrong.Imagine a scenario where someone planted a nuclear bomb in a city and they are the only who knows when it is. If the authorities capture that person, I expect them to be pretty heavy handed in their questioning on that person since millions of lives are on the line. An extreme scenario? sure. But one where I would condone torture. You can still make it illegal, but in some very extreme cases, it would be appropriate. I guess my annoyance is when people look at issues as black and white. Almost everything is gray.
