He probably lied the first time, i doubt they raised it. This is one of those things steve does often -- he'd always give small estimate numbers, and then give a rather large on the report. You probably noticed this at WWDC

dugg although i think the article should have pointed out evensong's point.apple's people are excellent at marketing....at least this time they're releasing upgrades before the product is released......not a month after like the MBP
